You need to create a Coinbase account first, and that goes without saying.
Once you set up your account successfully you are ready to trade in Crypto.
However, the thing is You can not trade XRP on Coinbase.
That means that you can’t trade in it at all.
It’s not possible, at least for now.
XRP is listed there on both Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, but you can only check the price chart there.
It was previously available there but after SEC’s recent action against Ripple, XRP trading is suspended in the US, NY, EU, UK, CA/SG.
It is applicable on both Coinbase and Coinbase pro.

How to sell XRP on Coinbase
From 19th, January 2021 the XRP trading has been suspended by following SEC’s action against ripple.
It means that you can’t trade Ripple any longer on both Coinbase.Com, Coinbase.com Pro, or its mobile application.
The users who still have XRP in their account are still able to view the balance, deposit it to the account, and send XRP to others.
If you find ample opportunity to sell XRP and make a decent profit, or you no longer wish to hold it in the Coinbase account you can transfer it to other wallets.

Why can’t I buy XRP on Coinbase?
You can buy or sell ripple currently on Coinbase due to Ripple SEC Lawsuit.
The trading is suspended in all regions where Coinbase is available.
As per the information mentioned on help.coinbase.com, You will not be able to buy, sell, or convert it.
This suspension affects only Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, currently, there will be no impact to Coinbase custody or Coinbase wallet.

When Will XRP be back on Coinbase
The only information they mentioned on the official Coinbase website is that the trading in XRP trading suspension is in effect until further notice.
At the time of writing this post, there is no clear indication of when the lawsuit will be resolved and what will be the court’s decision.
So, It means we don’t know when Will XRP will be back on Coinbase, at least for now.
