The family income should not exceed 3 Lakh rupees per year.

Families who have more than two children do not qualify for this scheme.

Main Benefits of the scheme

The main aim of the UP Sumangala Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the family, to help raise their girl child.

The Money will be provided to the eligible family in installments on different occasions.

Here are the phases and how much financial assistance would be provided by the government.

On Birth: 2 thousand rupees will be provided by the government after the kid is born.
On Vaccination: At the time of vaccination 1000 rs will be provided.
Admission to school: 2,000 rupees will be provided at the time of school admission.
Passing Class 5th: Once a kid passes the 5th class and enters the 6th class 2,000 rupees will be provided.
Passing Clash 8th: After the child passed class 8th and enters the 9th class 2,000 rupees will be credited.
Passing Class 10th: 3000 rs after passing class 10th.
Passing Class 12th: 5 thousand rs once kid graduated from class 12th.

However the monetary benefits will not automatically be dispersed in the bank account, but parents have to submit related documents on time to get the benefit.

So a total of 15,000 rs will be distributed per child, from birth to graduating the school.
