What is the Krishak Bandhu (West Bengal Krishok Bondhu Prokolpo Scheme)
West Bengal Krishak Bandhu is a Farmer welfare scheme that is launched by the WB Chief minister Mamta Benergjee for the farmer’s welfare who are living in the state.
Here the Government will provide unique and assured financial assistance to all farmers who own more than an acre of farmland.
Along with the Benefits Government will also provide a Digital Card that can be used to avail more government benefits in near future.
WB Krishak Bandhu Scheme Income & Death Benefits
Under the direct benefit of this scheme Famers who hold more than an Acre of farmland will be eligible for the 5000 rs per year financial assistance along with at least 2000 rs per year on a pro-rata basis.
Farmers will get 5000 rs for the Rabi and Kharif season.
In case of death of the farmer, the family of the farmer will be provided the lum-sum of 2 lakh rs.
The data of the eligible farmers will be authorized and captured digitally and the Krishak Bandhu Smart card will be provided.
This Smart digital card can be used to authenticate the farmers and, in near future able to provide Govt assistance if needed.
The benefits are –
- Fix Income of rs 5000 will be provided for both rabi and Kharif seasons.
- On a yearly basis, the government will be provided a minimum of 2000 rs to the beneficiary on the basis of pro-rata.

The Farmers government already launched an official website (Online Portal) where any of the eligible farmers who fulfills all of the eligibility criteria and holds all of the required document can Apply online.

As mentioned apart from the main benefits this scheme also offers a lump sum of 2 lac rs to the farmer’s family in case of beneficiary death.
