How to Use the Rail Madad App to Register or Track Complaints

Rail Madad app was launched by “The Centre for Railway Information Systems” back in the year 2020 with the aim to provide Indian railway passengers a platform where they can lodge a complaint if they have any trouble with the railway.

The RailMadad app is available both in the form of a Smartphone application which can be installed from the Android app store and a Web application which you can access directly from your web browser.

Other than providing a platform for registering their complaints, passengers can also check the redressal or status of their complaints in real-time.

Here are a few other features that are offered by the Rail Madad mobile app –

  • At the time of its launch app does support 12 different languages, so passengers could use the app in their own regional language.
  • Passengers won’t have to fill out a lengthy form to register their complaints. It offers minimum inputs with simplified categories to easily lodge a complaint.
  • They also make redressal easy and fast-forward. Related railway workers in the field unit will get the information.
  • You can not only use this app for train or station complaints but also track the status of these complaints in real time. 
  • The CRN will be shared with you. You can use this to check the status and provide further feedback on the issue.

How to Use Rail madad App?

Rail madad in the simplest terms online Grievance Redressal Mechanism introduced by the Indian railway and you can use it to report any incident that happened to you.

Once installed on your Smartphone you can start using the app, without any further ado.

When you open the app for the first time you will notice different tabs like – Train Complaint, Station Complaint, Freight Parcel Inquiry, Track Complaint, Suggestions, and Rail Anubhav.

To lodge a complaint you have to use either “Train Complaint” or Station Complaint and fill up the form as much as you can.

Once the form is filled, you can track the live status of the complaint under the “Track complaint” tab.

Just make sure to choose the relative complaint category and subcategory along with filling up the all required information there.
